Frequently asked questions
Is ManaMar free?
Yes. All zones and all features are free.
How do I download a zone for offline use?
Open the menu → Discover diving zones, pick a zone and tap Download. Zones are large (around 1 GB), so we recommend Wi-Fi. Once downloaded, the full map works without a connection.
How do I free up space?
In Discover diving zones, tap Delete download on any zone you no longer need.
How do I save a point?
Long-press anywhere on the map, then add a name, tags, photos and a list.
How do I share points with a friend?
Share a point to generate a code. Your friend enters it in Claim Shared Points. Points are private by default and only shared with people you give the code to.
Why does the app ask for my location?
Only to show where you are on the map. Your location is processed on your device and never sent to our servers. You can use the map without it and change the permission anytime in your device settings.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Account Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, points, lists and photos. You can also email us at info@mana-mar.com.
Can I use ManaMar for navigation?
No. ManaMar is a planning and exploration tool, not a certified nautical chart.
Where does the map data come from?
From official bathymetric data and other open sources, processed by our team. Attributions are shown in the app.
