Terms of Use
Last updated: September 2026
By creating an account or using ManaMar, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
ManaMar is an underwater mapping app that lets you view seabed maps and create, save and share points of interest at sea. All features are completely free, with no subscriptions or in-app purchases.
ManaMar is provided by Pablo Gallego Cascón (ManaMar), NIF 47943421J, Barcelona, Spain.
2. Not a navigation tool
ManaMar is a planning and exploration tool. It is not a certified nautical chart and must not be used for navigation. Maps, depths and user-created points may be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated. Underwater conditions change. Always dive within your training and certification, plan with official sources, and follow local regulations and protected-area rules. You are solely responsible for your decisions at sea.
3. Your account
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your login credentials confidential.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Account Settings → Delete account).
4. Your content
You are responsible for the points, notes, photos and other content you add. You keep ownership of it. By adding content, you give us a non-exclusive, free licence to store it and display it to you and, if you choose to share it, to other users. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
5. Content rules
You must not post content that:
- is illegal, offensive, hateful, sexually explicit, harassing or violent,
- infringes others' rights (including copyright in photos you did not take),
- reveals other people's personal data without permission,
- encourages dangerous behaviour or damages protected natural areas or species (e.g. marking locations to disturb protected wildlife),
- is spam or misleading.
6. Reporting
Content is shared only through share codes you choose to give to other people. If you receive content that breaks these rules, contact us at info@mana-mar.com or our contact form and we will act promptly.
7. Intellectual property
The ManaMar name, logo, design, maps as processed by us, and the app's code belong to us or our licensors. Some map data is derived from third-party sources and is used under their licences, including CC BY 4.0. The required attributions are shown in the app. You may not copy, modify, redistribute or resell the app or its maps without permission.
8. Prohibited uses
- Using the app for illegal purposes.
- Trying to access other users' accounts, our systems or data without authorisation.
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling or extracting the app's code or map data.
- Bulk-downloading, scraping or redistributing map data.
- Interfering with or overloading the service.
9. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the information shown is accurate, complete or up to date, or that the app will be error-free or always available.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service, including decisions made at sea based on its content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. If the changes are significant, we will notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new Terms.
13. Apple
If you downloaded ManaMar from the App Store, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes will be handled by the courts that apply under consumer protection rules.
